INDIANAPOLIS (August 1, 2012) — Lavonda Henry, the Tradebank of Indianapolis Regional Owner, represented Tradebank International at the historic NASCAR Nationwide Series race held on July 28, 2012 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Henry witnessed a day of firsts and milestones as she and her guests, Tradebank clients Charlie and Nikki Dorton of PIP Printing and Marketing Services in Avon and Gus Pearcy of Gus Pearcy Communications in Danville watched the race from the Pit and Garage area. Two cars in the race were sponsored by Tradebank International.
The Indy 250 race was a first in many ways. It was the first time the Nationwide Series competed at the legendary Brickyard. Jeremy Clements, the driver of the No 4 car, the Tradebank Chevrolet, finished in the top ten for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller which was a first this year for the race team and driver. Tradebank is also an associate sponsor for the #01 car, driven by Mike Wallace who finished in the top 20 in Saturday’s race.
“Tradebank has a strong presence in the Indianapolis market and having the Tradebank cars racing here in Indy gave us a great opportunity to showcase our barter services to our local and national trading partners,” said Lavonda Henry.
Jeremy Clements adds, “This was a great run for this No. 4 Tradebank Chevrolet team. Our car got better and better through the weekend and the race. Once we settled into a good rhythm, we were able to hold our own out there and race faster. A top-10 finish for the first Nationwide Series race at the famed Brickyard is great. I can’t thank Johnny Davis and the entire team for a great run – can’t wait to race with them again.” Clements was also awarded the Featherlite “Most Improved Driver” award.
