Spreading Love With Trade in 2021: A Year of Giving

With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, everyone is looking for ways to spread love; whether it’s gifts and giving, spending quality time, or simply acknowledging those that are special around them.

At Tradebank, our clients mean everything to us. We’d like to do our part and acknowledge them this Valentine’s season, and their incredible donations to non-profit organizations over the course of 2021. We feel it’s the perfect time of the year to shine light on the cruciality that nonprofits play.

The notions behind nonprofits are generally to improve the quality of life for those inside their local, state, and national communities. In some cases, these organizations will have a global reach.

The global COVID-19 pandemic brought it’s own unique set of problems, not just to for-profit business models, but also for non-profit growth. Raising revenue was tougher due to various shutdowns and restrictions, ultimately increasing service gaps. Employment in the public charity sector also suffered.

Tradebank’s vast network is beneficial in delivering fellow non-profits the funding, tools, training, and support they need to better serve their communities. We are constantly looking for more ways to utilize trade dollars to help bridge the gap between generous contributions and cash limitations. Giving to charity or a nonprofit organization is not viewed as a business transaction.

This past year, clients were able to login into their myTradebank account and participate in these non-profit donations through various campaigns and opportunities (as seen below). Given the continued, unprecedented developments of COVID-19, we recognized the widespread need and significantly increased demand of various nonprofit organizations.

We are proud to announce that our total client donations made to non-profits in 2021 was an astounding $163,539.

In the second half of 2021, Tradebank featured several giving opportunities and subsequently promoted these to our members and clients in ongoing efforts to raise money. Giving Tuesday was founded back in 2012, and Tradebank is an active participant in this global generosity movement, utilizing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. It’s the season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving, and our turnout was everything and more.

On December 9th, 2021, our long-standing client Kim Ray of Conditionaire Company made over $500 worth of donations to the Marine Corps League, Boy Scouts of America Council, Make-A-Wish of East Tennessee, and the Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga.

Andy Brasfield, a client at Big Tree Telecom donated to Tennessee Children’s Home and Fostering Hope. Raj Sood from Central Karns Storage also donated to Tennessee Children’s Home, and the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley. These are just a few among many charitable donations that came in during our “End-of-Year” giving campaign.

We think it’s important to highlight those that generously contribute to a greater cause, as donations like these provide such a multitude of benefits to the success of Tradebank.
